Carlos Dias decided to dedicate himself entirely to the luxury goods sector in 1993. From his vast range of experience accumulated during his fruitful career, he decided to start his very own company during the middle of 1995, under the name SOGEM (Société Genevoise des Montres). The formal Manufacture Roger Dubuis appeared in 1999 when Carlos Dias determined that the firm deserved and was not usurping the status of a Manufacture. In 2001, Dias designed the new corporate headquarters to be built in Meyrin (Geneva). In 2004, he finished the second phase of this industrial complex that further enhances the brands credibility and ability to produce fine watches. Manufacturing independence was then achieved in 2003 with its own manufacture of balance-and-spring regulating movements. The 120 machines in its micromechanical engineering workshops make the entire range of parts for the ROGER DUBUIS movements. The cutting edge industrialization displays the companys status as an authentic Manufacturer. In April of 2006 six new movements were showed at Genevas Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), with three of them being for the first time. They were principally fitted in the latest Excalibur models, since it is one of the brands flagship collections, and bring the total number of movements manufactured to 28, each of which is hallmarked with the Poinçon de Genève, which is often referred to as the Geneva Seal. Today, the Manufacturer Roger Dubuis is a high-performance company which continues to be one of the big players specialized in the luxury goods sector.
