In 1976 M.Raymond Weil created the company which bears his name at a point in history when the Swiss watch industry is in turmoil. Then in 1982, Olivier Bernheim who is M.Raymond Weil's son-in-law, joined the company, forming the family commitment. The Amadeus collection is launched in conjunction with Milos Forman's world acclaimed film of the same name in 1983. Three years later the launch of the Othello collection saw this ultra-thin timepiece (1.2mm) play a great part in the worldwide success of RAYMOND WEIL. Among other innovations at Raymond Weil, the R&D has created the complication for the GMT function of the famous Don Giovanni Così Grande including two time zones and the interchangeable bracelet system for the Shine collection. In 2001 RAYMOND WEIL celebrated its quarter of century of existence and brought to life the new Othello collection.
