Gerald Genta Watches

Gerald Genta started his company in the early 1990s, but his contribution to the world of horology began in back in 1969. Gerald Genta began to make designs for Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. Gerald Genta became close friends with Daniel Roth, and in the 1990's they even shared a workshop in Le Sentier until both sold their companies to a Singapore distributor named Hour Glass. Then eventually both companies were sold to the Bulgari Group in 2000. Headquarters for both companies still remain in Le Sentier, Switzerland and both maintain sharing workshop space producing inspiring timepieces. Even though Gerald Genta the company is no longer run by Gerald Genta the founder, the watches are still produced with the same skill, attention to detail, precision of excellence and originality of the watches designed and manufactured by Gerald Genta himself. Gerald Genta's timepieces possess a tenacious energy infused with shapes, color, design and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Many of the timepieces use a retrograde display whereby the minutes are showed in an arc. Once the hand reaches the 60 minute mark, it flips back to zero. This jumping hour is marked by an aperture where the relevant hour is displayed.
