In 1903, just after the turn of the century, Alfred Dunhills first dashboard clock marks their entry into the timepiece arena. Then in 1932 the iconic Facet timepiece, which was based on Alfred Dunhills car head-lamp designs, was launched. In the yeat 1941, Alfred Dunhills Duke Street store was bombed during the course of World War II; later to be extended and rebuilt in the 1950s and eve more recently renovated. After many more years of making stylish designs, in 2005 a Savile Row tailor named Richard James, a watchmaker by the name of Tom Bolt, and the casual-wear designer Nick Ashley and leather-smith Bill Amberg were brought on board to help revitalise the brand.
