The Corum Story begins with Rene Bannwart, when he started his own watch brand in 1955. Intrigued by the word quorum, meaning the smallest amount of people present and necessary to hold discussions and make valid decisions, Bannwart used it as his brand name simplified into Corum. From the beginning in 1955, Corum showed a purpose to at the front of the Swiss watch industry. The emblem is a key pointing skywards, and symbolizes of the mystery to be fathomed, the enigma to be resolved, of new territories to be explored, and of innovation.
