Concord began in 1908 in Biel Switzerland, and the brand was started for the purpose of designing watches with the American market in mind. Concord has had innovations in their history including being one of the first private label watches to include precious metals and gems in their watches. Concord was also the first company to make a wristwatch comprised of coins. In 1979 Concord broke records with the ultra-thin Delirium Watch, which was but 1.98 mm thick. Later Concord released a Delirium 2 which was even thinner at 1.5 mm. The launch of the C1 was a prestigious affair and was aimed at the ever popular luxury sport watch market. In 2008 Concord created two new additions to the C1 line, the C1 worldtimer and the C1 Gravity Tourbillion.
