In 1902 Armand Nicolet, was a watchmaker who made an innovation of an automatic rose gold pocket watch with a calendar and chronograph. Armand Nicolets theory was to make excellent and attention to detail . Armand Nicolet passed away in 1939, and his son Willy continued the business the same way until quartz watches began to be popular in the 1970's making the classic mechanical watch unpopular. Some of the collections today include Hunter, the MO2 and the Arc Royal. The Hunter collection comprises many of the mechanical complications known, including a classically styled regulator.
